Fill Your Site With Content and Make Millions With Adsense! Guaranteed!

If only there was an easy way to get content for my sites, then I could make millions with Adsense!

Nope, sorry, it’s not that simple. There may be an easy way to get content, and you may be able to make millions with Adsense if you are extremely lucky, but they don’t fit together.

It goes along with that old wives tale about doing hard work to make money. How old fashioned…

The new rage is to simply buy a collection of pre-built sites such as the ones at MFA Warehouse. They are simply a bunch of articles reprinted from EzineArticles in a standard template. If you market them correctly and spend lots of money, you may make a little bit of that money back. Will it be easy? No. Is it worthwhile? Probably not.

This is a just a simple warning to anyone out there that is thinking of spending money on these pre-built sites: It may work, but it probably won’t! How shocking! :o

An Example Website

If you are wondering what kind of sites you can make with Desktop Adsense Cash Machine, here’s an example of something I did. Obviously I created the template myself, because the stock template is basically worthless. (Which is good - it forces you to create something unique.)

mortgageandrefinance.info

***2007 Update*** I no longer own this site, so what you are seeing these days is probably something new, if the site is up at all.

Personally I think that’s a decent looking site compared to some others. For the most part, you make a website template like you would for any site, then add in a couple variables so that the software knows where to put the articles. That’s it.

For my site, I used PHP to make use of includes. For a site that’s 1000+ pages, you sure don’t want to update each one by hand! The header, footer, navigation, and all the Adsense ads are in separate include files. That means I only have to edit one file to make sitewide changes. It works nicely :)

Once I got the hang of the software, it took about half an hour for each site. Time will vary based on a lot of factors, from your connection speed (the software has to pull in the articles and content from around the web) to the complexity of your site design (the more complex the design, the more time it takes you to make.)

So far, so good, right?

Wrong.

Apparently, the time that I feel like messing around with this software (figuring I could sell my test sites to recoup my costs) is the time that everyone decides not to buy stupid, scraped article sites like this! I’ll be lucky to make back my investment in the domain names!

(Yes, I could keep the sites and promote them, but I don’t want to. They suck! Plus, I have plenty of other sites that require my attention.)

Cashing In

Last month I wrote about some software called Desktop Adsense Cash Machine, software for building large content sites based off of free articles. And with sites like that, you can’t help but make millions from Adsense! Or maybe not…

The good: The software lived up to my expectations. It does what it is supposed to do, and that’s it.

[*What it is supposed to do: Automatically create a website with lots of pages by gathering free articles from directories.]

The bad: I wish it gave you more choice as to which articles to add to your site. You are limited to adding articles by category. There is no way to add articles that contain a certain keyword or anything. It doesn’t come with instructions either, which would help.

Verdict: Definitely not worth the $47 or whatever they are charging for it. Luckily I picked up my copy pretty cheap from a reseller, or else I’d probably want a refund.

I would advise against buying this because (thankfully) Google is continuting to crack down on crappy websites that don’t add value to the web. Sites created with this software probably don’t add too much value. However, there are some other ways to use this software. For example, you could add a related article directory to a current website of yours.

So if there are potential good uses, why don’t I recommend it?

Well, I didn’t say not to get a copy… I just said don’t pay $47 for one. I decided to make use of my resell rights and give out a FREE copy to all of my ezine subscribers! So if you haven’t subscribed, now’s the time.

Almost forgot…

Want to see an example of a site created with this software? If so, I’ll post more in my next blog entry.

More Website Automation

I recently purchased some nifty software that lets you create large content websites quite easily. I’ll be using this to create more test sites, giving me three categories: Quality hand-built unique content sites, pre-built website content packages, and software-built content sites.

This software looks like the best I’ve seen for this purpose. I’ve purchased resale rights to it too, so I may offer it for sale if I like it.

I’ve downloaded some free site builders before, but never bothered with them, as they look like crap. And I have skipped out on other site builders because they cost well over $100. But this may be just the ticket. Stay tuned…

Automated Site Creation

Earlier today I launched a new website based off of a bunch of ready-made adsense websites. So I now have a 1000+ page content site that took about 20 minutes to setup, not including time to upload files.

I’m interested to see if a site like this can make more money than my other sites that I put A LOT of work into! Although I’d be happy to make a lot of money, it would be kind of disappointing if you think about it… But that’s how lots of people make money with Adsense - huge sites filled with free articles.

I registered a catchy domain name for this site (http://learnaholic.info) so hopefully that helps it stand out. More details and test results to come…
