When Online And Offline Marketing Collide: From Cubicle Slave to the Next Internet Millionaire

cubicle to internet millionaire book cover

I’d be surprised if you haven’t been spammed with news of the latest book from an internet guru, From Cubicle Slave to the Next Internet Millionaire. It’s written by Jaime Luchuck who looks like a nice young woman, but her claim to fame is from being on The Next Internet Millionaire, a cheesy reality TV show brought to you by someone who labels Adsense ads as “Topics.”

That’s unfortunate, but what’s more unfortunate is the fact that cheesy internet marketing sales tactics are starting to enter the realm of physical products. See, From Cubicle Slave to the Next Internet Millionaire is a real book. But it also has an online sales letter! Gasp!

To spare you the agony of reading the sales letter, here’s a summary:

My book is great. But that’s not all. Order my book and I’ll send you more than $10,790.97 in free bonuses! From ebooks to spamming software, it’s all included! Buy today!

So we have the long sales page and tons of free bonuses. What else?

Fake testimonials!

But this time, they are all at Amazon.com. While they aren’t necessarily fake testimonials, they are all 5-star ratings from her friends or colleagues from the TV show. Last time I checked, it’s not hard to convince your friends to say they like you…

So while the book might be OK, I hate how they have to market it. Is it not good enough to buy it for the book itself? Do you really need to give out over $10k in bonuses to get someone to buy your book?

She’s cute though, I’ll give her that… ;)

probably +10k usd is the bribe to not use slang dictionary just to remember “items” and expressions toward her, after buy and read the book.

Anyway, as I feel you`re allready pissed off, lemme make your this day as a personal 4 of july :

Outthere, in Philipines, there is a guy who managed to bring and keep a blog on TOP (mean top, no 1) of google search for “make money online” search ..
No, fact is not a guru, not from US of A, that`s not what will make you feel the need to “subscribe” to beer factory. No sir.

    Sit down, relax ..

The guy have 13 years old. Thirteen. Mean between 12 and 14. Claimin` is on net since age of 10, earning money from 12 … and having in his web-blog tiny “blogroll” .. his father, which is alsi a internet marketer running for same keywords …

The guy`s name (the kid earning money at 12-13 years old) is Carl Ocab, site is at carlocab dot com and you must spend a bit of time to read articles on first two pages, then the “about me” page, then some on his father “blog” (comments disabled when I was there) …

Compared to that, Jamie`s marketing campaign looks quite soft and kind …

I remember seeing the Carl Ocab site. I don’t think I made it past the first page though, maybe next time :)

I think it’s more of a real life inspirational story. I hope. I’ll read it this winter if I get bored…

I’m sorry, I actually like that reality show. Its really not any worse than Trumps show. I think if the audience wasn’t just the internet and those looking to make money off the internet, it would be a hit. Perhaps on Bravo or TLC networks. I am surprised that he (Joel Comm) doesn’t release it as an infomercial. I like the show.
