One Simple Trick That Will Convince Visitors To Buy, Even If You Can’t Write Long Sales Copy

There is a never-ending debate about whether long or short sales letters are best for conversions.

Copywriters that charge by the page say that long copy is best, while lazy internet marketers tell themselves that short copy is where it’s at.

It looks like Doug Champigny is one of the lazy guys, because the sales copy for his new book How To Become A Blogging PRO! is pretty short.

However, he may be starting a revolution that makes short copy as effective as long copy…

Because what his sales page lacks in text, it makes up for in a huge 3D ebook cover!

Look at this thing:

blogging pro ebook

That’s crazy!

I think there is more image than text on the page!

My next ebook sales page will have a paragraph of text, a HUGE graphic, and then a “buy now” button. Then I’ll be rich just like these gurus! :D

P.S. While I got a good laugh at the huge ebook cover, I certainly don’t recommend buying the book. There are a million blog posts out there that tell you how to setup a great blog on Wordpress, and they are probably more useful than the book. Plus they are free to read ;)

I can’t stand those long sales letter pages, or those giant fake e-book covers. I’m proud to say I have never purchased a product from a site that uses either of those lame techniques.

Nope, it will be a wrong sale page, the way you said will be. Awfull conversion.

A REALLY GOOD sales page :

Are you in the hurry ?

    BUY NOW !(button)

    You`re not in a hurry ?

    BUY NOW !(button)

    All explanation included.
24 hours full money back guaranted.

Haven’t personally ever utilized either techniques, but it seems concise and to the point would work better than something long and drawn out…but then again people want to know thoroughly what they’re buying so long copy might be the way to go. Like you said though their are plenty of free ways to get information so I shy away from this sort of thing

Althaf, it’s ok, I went back in time and managed to convince myself not to buy it. :-D

I made that my wallpapper. That’s hilarious.

Well, this was a funny post but I just have a quick comment.

The IM’ers who say short copy is where it’s at…are completely wrong.

People have shown, TIME AND TIME AGAIN, that long copy outpulls short copy in virtually every case.

There are a few instances where it doesn’t, but honestly not very many.

The trick is making it long for people who want to read, but making the bullets and subheads tell the story in short as they skim the page.
