Text-Link-Ads Dropped Out of Google: What Happens Now?

So by now everyone must know that Text-Link-Ads (TLA) has all but disappeared from Google. Does that mean that text link selling services should quit and give up, or does it mean that there is an open spot for market leader?
TNX.net is hoping for the latter!
This new text link marketplace seemed to appear out of thin air but now boasts a link inventory of over 30 million! That’s pretty serious, especially when you think about the 10,000 or so odd links being added each hour.
I couldn’t help but sign-up after reading this detailed review plus more words of encouragement from Blogstorm.
What really stood out was this:
The great thing about buying links at the moment is PR hasn’t updated for months so links are really cheap. You can log into TNX and buy up thousands of links on PR0 pages that have lots of Yahoo backlinks for ultra low prices.
Yep, that’s pretty sweet.
Plus, link inventory is hidden for security, the points system makes buying links pretty cheap, and they’re nice enough to give out a bunch of free bonuses.
Did I mention their system tries to set-up your campaign legitimately so it doesn’t look like link spam? That’s pretty sweet, and shows how smart the people behind TNX are. (Granted you can still screw things up if you’re stupid, but they try to help out.)
They really make link buying awesome. The more I buy, the more I like it.
I figured I’d test the ‘link selling’ part too. (That’s on one of my smaller sites, not here.) It’s pretty simple to add the code to your page, but it’s still over 100 lines of PHP code… I’m worried there’s some sort of “footprint” in there making it easy to spot. I’ll get back to you on that part after some testing.
But overall it looks good on both sides. I could see myself using this even more and recommending it.
Get your links (and sell your links) at TNX.net.
Bonus hint: Remember how Patrick talked about getting good links from PR0 sites with lots of backlinks? Well, those are the only sites I bought links from. Don’t fall in the trap of “well I’m not sure about PR0, so I’ll get the PR1 links.” The PR1 sites probably aren’t that great, I mean, they only got a 1. But the PR0 pages could be on their way to a PR5 once the PR update finally hits.
And like I said, get your links (and sell your links) at TNX.net.

So, you have something personaly with my blog (is PR 1) ?
:-)))))))))))))))))
ps: did you checked your MBL account ?
Hey Sucker, thanks for mentioning my review - how’s it working for you so far?
Remember, those PR0 sites aren’t “on their way” to PR anything. PR is updated constantly, so they’re already measured accurately within Google. The only thing that isn’t updated regularly is the Toolbar PR, which is only a snapshot.
If Google sees these sites as PR5 today, you’re getting a PR5 link for a PR0 price — you don’t have to wait for the Toolbar PR update to see the benefit.
Yes Shane, I remember how PR works. If I thought that toolbar PR was the true PR value all the time, the strategy I pointed out wouldn’t make any sense, and I wouldn’t have pointed it out in the first place.
The whole point is to get links from sites that show a PR0 in the toolbar, but are much more worthwhile in actuality.
It’s just that link sales happen to be based on toolbar PR because that’s the only PR we can see…
What specifically seperates this from the places that have gotten busted (TLA)?
@XMCP
They keep the links private, don’t do sitewide links, and don’t leave a footprint on the publisher pages.
TLA is still there. I found them at like #60 or so. Obvious penalty. TNX has already been singled out by google and they dropped out of the sky before they had time to look down. If you do a search for “Text link ads” there is a place called linkworth that seems to be the one filling this void you speak of.
I’m trying to get my poodles website listed high on the search engines, then I will try some text link ads. I never click on them though, actually….maybe I will start a blog and then implement TLA
I try to get my page links high what is the best place to buy links?
I’m trying to get my supaswag blog listed high on the search engines, then I will try some lext tink ads. I never click on them though, actually….maybe I will start a website and then implement LTA
Google hates TNX.net as much as Americans hate Osama.
My site was having 200 uniques per day but since I installed this tnx code, the whole site is out of search engine.
You can check now by including site: before my site.
Tnx.net ruined my site.
Anyone know how these links appear? Are they placed on sites that are relevant or just any old site?
@Burton
I tested the service on some of my sites and link placement varies. The links are placed on relevant sites based on the categories you select, and you can approve or delete links on an individual basis.
The problem is, most publishers place the TNX code in a terrible location, such as the footer, or hide it in the sidebar with a real small font and make the links look like obvious paid links.
Overall TNX is pretty cool, but I quit using it because of all the publishers that are not following link placement guidelines.
I go for the new link directorys with few links present. You get more link juice flowin that way!
I use tla and was thinking about tnx but I think I’m going to use one of the other dozens of other monetizing alternatives until google gives a definitive yea or nay on this issue. So far my 3 tla links haven’t caused an issue, and yes, they are in the sidebar, but they’re “woven into” the fabric of the blog.
Nice review this will help alot of people its helped me at my site
Bloggers can use TNX & TLA for getting instant money from their blogs
Well I calculated prices I get for each link using tnx and I find it pretty low. Pricewise i don’t find
tnx as a good alternative to tla
