Sniping Blog Posts With Comment Sniper

I got an email yesterday about this new software called Comment Sniper. That name sounded pretty interesting, especially after reading about how being the first comment on a blog post can be better than being on the Top Commentators list in the sidebar.
Comment Sniper offers you a way to build targeted, valuable, strong and lasting traffic to your website at no cost, by tapping into the first mover advantage of blog comment posting. And… now, for a limited time only, you can download this $47 fully functional application Completely FREE with no strings attached.
I haven’t tested this yet, but it actually sounds alright. It is one of those “$47 value” products that you can get for free (after giving them your email, that is,) but it is still real software; if it works, it could be quite useful! I’m impressed!
I just thought I’d point it out to my lovely readers so you can take advantage of the “first commentator advantage”
Note: You’ll need to use a real email address so you can get the activation key for the download.
(And just post a comment if you want me to do a complete review of this software.)

Click here to buy me a beer, because damn, I need to get drunk to forget how much internet marketing sucks!

Does this make me a comment sniper then? Perhaps I should consider a name change to “The Mechanic”
Interesting idea, though I wouldn’t pay for it and it just might have a tendency to appeal to the drive by crowd, particularly if you have a DoFollow policy. I should have investigated this before my quick response, but what kind of sniper would I be then huh?
I only see this being useful for a few blogs, such as ProBlogger, Shoemoney, and John Chow, where there are tons of people foaming at the mouth waiting to comment on a new entry.
Then if everyone starts using this software, it will just be a level playing field again.
However, it could be very very useful for those of us in various niches that don’t relate to internet marketing
Last time I was the first to comment on John Chow’s blog… I didn’t get a SINGLE visitor

There are actually a few different ones out there. I have been giving this software a go and see how it pans out.
You have a great site and i return to it ever now and then as i find the time.
I’m guessing you’ve used it by now – what did you think? I’ve only recently downloaded and started using the software, got to say its a great help to me. (and free which is always a bonus!)
@joejack
Yes, I do use it in spurts sometimes. When setup properly, it works as advertised, so I’m pretty happy with it.
Planning to write a full review with screenshots one of these days…
I just downloaded this comment sniper, and played a little with it, in a desperate attempt to find ways to get visitors to my new small forum.
What it does is that it allows you to search blogger.com and wordpress.com for blogs using your keywords. (So far google can do that too
).
All results are shown with the pagerank and the alexa value. That is helpful, indeed, however Firefox with a Seoquake plugin running over a google resultset can do that too.
Now there is a unique feature, and that is that I can subscribe to all selcted results from this list of blogs with just one click, and then get alerted whenever there is a new post there. Now that is a timesaver. But then again, I would prefer to see the feeds in my favorite feed reader (akregator/KDE).
However there is one missing feature which makes this tool almost useless for all who want to get some linkbacks only, who use it only for SEO work: The tool does not show if the blog is a dofollow or a nofollow blog. So you still would have to check that manually and if you do so you can as well subscribe manually.
OK, dump it again, back to Firefox and Google, an efficient combination anyway.
@Martin
The tool you are describing is totally different than the “Comment Sniper” I’m using. This has nothing to do with finding blogs. Rather, it’s so you can be alerted to new posts (on blogs you already know about) and be the first to comment.
I find the Comment Sniper software being very interesting. I would like to know more about it and I am very curious to test it.
Quite useful if it can detect new posts automatically. I will give it a try. – Rif Chia
Thans for that great tipp.
