Jumping On The Million Dollar Wiki Bandwagon
No one has ever done anything quite like this before. Consider yourself part of history in the making!
That quote is part of the welcome page when you buy a page from the Million Dollar Wiki.
I guess the Million Dollar Homepage and Wikipedia bear no resemblance to this new site, which claims to be “history in the making!”
So it’s pretty safe to say that I still think the Million Dollar Wiki is crap and that it’s not going anywhere long-term.
Nevertheless, I bought a page to experiment with, just so I could see if it’s worthwhile. The Alexa rank does look good, and there are already stories of people seeing positive ROI. Even better, John Chow and Shoemoney are building up a lot of buzz around the whole thing.
If I can recoup my investment quickly, I’ll be happy. I have my doubts about the 15 year guarantee (if no one goes to the site after the first year, who cares how long it’s up?) and reselling the pages for profit (you’re not allowed to do that till they sell 10,000 pages, and they’re at like 600 right now, plus you have to sell through them.)
I’ll let you know if anything happens. In the mean time, if you want to jump on board, here are a few pages that I didn’t buy yet:
http://www.milliondollarwiki.com/Consumer_Electronics
http://www.milliondollarwiki.com/Fun
http://www.milliondollarwiki.com/Credit_Score
http://www.milliondollarwiki.com/Nutrition
I also looked at Credit Repair and Student Loans, but those disappeared overnight!

Click here to buy me a beer, because damn, I need to get drunk to forget how much internet marketing sucks!

You bought a page? Well I guess if you give us a honest review that will be something… because I don’t really trust sometimes when the big J and D promote stuff. I don’t get it and to me it is a waste of space on the internet. Especially since it appears people are just promoting themselves on it.
Oh boy you should see the spam on there. The editor allows you to make a Wikipedia-like page, or you can use an iframe…
As you could guess, a lot of people are just using MDW as a “frame” for their pages which are full of flashy sales graphics!
Despite that, I’ve had 50 visitors or so look at my page in roughly 10 hours, with no promotion at all, and the topic has nothing to do with business, marketing, or free stuff.
At the very least it’s amusing to watch, and maybe if I write an honest review on here, it will bring in some more visitors…
I guess, if it goes somewhere… then you could make a slight return on your investment…. maybe.
