Why Isn’t AOJon.com Properly Optimized?

Jon from WickedFire and AOJon.com is pretty infamous in the internet marketing world. If you don’t know why, just browse his forums and read some of the link bait on his blog.
But if you check out his blog, you’ll see it doesn’t shape up to what all the SEO and blogging gurus say is the best way to do things.
For example, there is no big RSS button promoting his “full feed.” There’s really no mention of RSS other than the little Feedburner badge.
If you scroll further down, the monthly archive links get in the way of the real categories. Who cares when you wrote what?
Then if you go to a full post, the blog name comes before post name in page title. That totally screws up his SERPs!
Well, either Jon…
Doesn’t know what he’s doing is “wrong,”
Does not care what he does on his blog,
Or knows something that the gurus don’t.
Considering he has lots of money and the blog is a PR5, I think he’s doing just fine as it is! ![]()

Click here to buy me a beer, because damn, I need to get drunk to forget how much internet marketing sucks!

Hahaha!! Thanks for doing this, it saves me a blog post actually.
The answer to your questions is…
JON DOESN’T CARE!
The reason behind that, as hard to believe as it may seem is because I no longer want to be a “web celeb”, and I’ve purposely made retarded posts, pissed people off, and not followed whatever any SEO’s or blogging experts have said BECAUSE I just don’t care anymore. I don’t need the SE rankings anymore, I don’t even have ads on my blog (no paid links either!). I simply just don’t give a crap anymore.
Some people love their celeb status, I don’t love mine anymore. I would much rather be a behind the scenes, lurking in the shadows kinda guy like I have been for so many years.
Ah well, it’s a double edged sword type of thing… If I hadn’t become a celeb, I never would have made WickedFire, and with no WF, then I wouldn’t have been able to meet so many cool new people and friends, and had the type of change and pull that the whole internet marketing industry really needs.
Thanks for stopping by Jon. I had a feeling that would be your answer!
