That’s Gotta Hurt

So, let’s say you wrote an ebook that currently sells for the low price of $97. It’s about making money with Adsense.

Or perhaps you sell some $147 software that automatically churns out websites focused on displaying Adsense ads.

And then someone comes out of nowhere and reveals a much better way to make money, and gives it away for free. What would you do?

Get defensive, probably. And that’s what all the “gurus” are doing now that The Death of Adsense and Life After Adsense have been released.

I love it. :)

    Hey there,

It’s great to see that you’ve been updating this blog pretty frequently. I really enjoy reading your commentary.

I’m also enjoying the s**tstorm that all of this “Adsense Is Dead” hoo-ha is generating. I haven’t been looking around enough to see how the other “gurus” are reacting. Can you point out a couple good examples? Websites or forum threads?

    Thanks!
    Jeff

Here are some things to look at:

There’s some good points in the blog entry and good comments.

This is just hilarious because it is a post on Joel Comm’s blog linking to the Death of Adsense report using an affiliate link, while Joel claims that Adsense Is Alive!

I think Adsense “should be dead” for the people which doesn’t use the service on the ordonary way: Showing content related ads on real websites.

I become sick if I notice that my ads are shown on MFA websites and I have to pay for that.

People selling e-books and software with the only target to get money from advertisers are wrong. There is also a kind of duty for publishers, right?

Just noticed the ads at the bottom of this page, this way adsense is used the right way: To attract people to click on ads related to this thread. (By the way this is a good spot for a blog site)
