Free Affiliate Website - Is The Rich Jerk Being Nice?
The Rich Jerk. Interesting name, huh? This multi-millionaire has decided to put his secrets into an ebook (big surprise there…) and sell it to the millions of people looking to make easy money online. A pretty common strategy, but this guy stands out a bit. Not because of the photos of his lavish lifestyle, but because he’s a jerk. He has better things to do than help you out, and he makes that clear in his sales letter!
But I happened across his site the other day and guess what - he’s offering to give you a free website if you signup for his mailing list! Supposedly the free website is built using his secret strategies - that’s awfully nice of him, isn’t it?

So what’s the real deal? Do you actually get a custom site worth $300 with no catch?
Yeah right!
No self-respecting internet guru would give away something like that without a catch!
You can get a free site, yes, but it sure doesn’t look custom. Unless by custom they mean it is only 99% the same as the others, then I guess it could be considered custom. But here’s the real catch - you only get the site after signing up with their hosting partner. I didn’t bother looking at the hosting plan, but I doubt it’s anything special.
So by giving away the website which costs very little to make, he can make quite a bit of cash with commissions on the hosting! Not a bad idea! (Since the commissions are probably $100+ each.)
Not only did this experience give me some material to rant about, it taught me a good lesson in marketing! ![]()

Click here to buy me a beer, because damn, I need to get drunk to forget how much internet marketing sucks!

At first I thought the rich jerk might come and bash me for writing this, but then I realized that 1. he says he’s lazy and 2. he has better things to do with his time.

I read this and laughed out loud. I can’t believe how clever some people can be.
I followed a link here. I’m glad I did. I like sarcasm. Some people say it is the lowest form of wit. I disagree.
Regarding the so-called “Rich Jerk”…
I wrote an article about this person. You can read it here:

My article supports your view and vice-versa. Some people will do anything for money. The guy is a boor.

Hi Gary, thanks for stopping by!
That’s a good article, hopefully everyone will read it before spending money on any “Rich Jerk” products.
I am reading your blog after following the link in your signature on digitalpoint forums.
Just wanted to let you know that I like it. I think all these slyboots should be exposed to the public and the internet users have to be constantly educated.
Some time ago I started 12noteweb.com initially used to do some tests with it. Now I am writing there about the different nasty threads that can be found in Internet and that the users must be aware about. I do not have much free time to work on it, but I will add a few words with links to this and to the other “Rich-Jerk-Poor-Jerk.html” articles.
The Rich Jerk is a smart guy, but he is a jerk. The Rich Jerk lowered his price to ten bucks. The Rich Jerk is either a 28 year old kid, or an older Italian guy. I don’t like Rich Jerk and I hate internet marketing. It’s very hard to do for a living.
This Rich Jerk post is stupid and unproductive, but even just by using the words “Rich Jerk” and “Kelly Felix” and “internet marketing” in it, maybe I am helping you out with your rankings. I am about to quit internet marketing and get a real job (sigh).
Good luck to all of you though. I really mean that.

That’s a pretty clever idea! I like it…
Actually, I don’t think the Rich Jerk (Kelly Felix) is nearly as smart as most people think he is. He had to declare bankruptcy because he spent too much on the Rich Jerk radio campaign without getting an ROI. The smarter Internet marketing asses don’t cook the same dead turkey over and over. They make one crap book, then when that gets oversaturated they make a new one. Kelly wants to keep baking the same bread over and over. I don’t think that’s especially smart. The product is crazily oversaturated.
that is quite brilliant. give away something so you make a $100 return on a hosting commission. hmm…
Nice post Sucker, I’m always sceptical about taking up something that is offered for free because it rarely is. I bet the hosting provider is one of the more expensive types that hits you for loads of money a month. I hope the website owner does read your blog so that he can see how poor his “Free Offer” really is. Just found your blog and am reading through your posts i like to hear a good rant from time to time it brightens things up!
Nice post
Eventhough I do like internet marketing I couldn’t help but smile at this post. And I agree that it was a clever move to give away a site and earn on the hosting.
